The kit includes a 4.10 ratio ring and pinion gear set, which comes as a direct replacement for the OEM final drive gear set of all BMW 188mm differentials.

Most BMWs are equipped with fairly long final drive ratios. Switching to a shorter ratio allows for an increase in torque output to the wheel (compared to a wider ratio under identical conditions). It offers a performance boost similar to an engine upgrade and/or a weight reduction, allowing your engine to rev faster without creating any additional mechanical stress or wear.

Specially designed for intensive use, this short-ratio gear is made of forged and reinforced steel with high-quality surface treatments (heat treatments, shot peening, etc.), ensuring a long life for track use and excellent resistance to heavy-duty and extreme conditions.

This short-ratio final drive is compatible with all 188 mm BMW differentials, which are most commonly found on 6-cylinder BMWs until the early 2000s.
